The Story

​Artist Bio
Born in Perry Georgia, Kitty spent most of her childhood riding horse-back in the pinewood forest near her home. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a major in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Art Design. Her passion for animals and love of art intensified as she raised a family on a small horse farm in Alpharetta, Georgia. After a successful career in architectural design, Kitty studied with masters in portrait art giving her the ability to turn her passion for animals into a career.

​Artist Statement​
From my earliest memory I have shared my life with a succession of dogs, cats, birds, horses, fish, bunnies or any other form of wildlife that may have strayed by my home. I learned what truly unique personalities each have. I strive to create natural compositions and subtle expressions that capture the unique bonds we have with our animal companions. My goal is to bring my subjects to life on canvas, creating mood through color and composition. I feel honored to spend my days painting each unique animal and hope that you enjoy my portraits.
